Special Someone Twist & Pop-Up Card

I've shared this style of fancy-fold card what seems like years ago but I just had to share it again! Especially because my video quality has improved! LOL Last Friday I went Live on Facebook to share how I created this interactive card.

When I decide to make a fancy-fold card like this, I first pick out the stamp set/bundle that I want to use.

Then I find some gorgeous Designer Series Paper that will work with the stamp set/bundle.

Then I pick out 2 to 3 coordinating cardstock colors!

The key with this card to get the Twist & Pop-Up to work smoothly is to open and close it several times. This softens the cardstock a bit so it's not so stiff. I highly recommend doing this before you gift your creation to a loved one!

Measurements:

• Card Base: 4-1/2" x 11"
• score on long side at 5-1/2"
• Twist Mechanism: 8" x 3-1/2"
• Score on short side at 1-3/4"
• Mark both long sides at 2-1/4" and 5-3/4", then score an 'X' between the marks
• Pop-Up Mechanism: 10" x 3-1/2"
• score on long side at 2-1/2", 5", and 7-1/2"
• Decorate with:
• 4 pieces of cardstock measuring 3-1/4" x 2-1/4"
• 4 pieces of DSP or CS measuring 3-1/8" x 2-1/8"
• Card Front:
• Cardstock measuring 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
• DSP measuring 4" x 5-1/4"
• Inside Card:
• Colored Cardstock measuring 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
• Basic White Cardstock measuring 4" x 5-1/4"
