What's Cookin' FMS490 Layout

I went Live last Friday with a fun FMS490 Layout card using the What's Cookin' bundle! 

This layout can be used with many different bundles, stamp sets, etc. but I just love how it turned out with the What's Cookin' Bundle!

The layout is essentially a rectangular on the right of your card from, a circle in roughly the center, and a sentiment under your circle. A super easy layout with so many options! 

I don't often decorate the inside of my cards but I just had to with this one!

Double Gate-Fold Card

I've been having so much fun playing with the Hand-Penned Product Suite. I love the softness of this suite.

I wanted to create a fancy-fold card using this gorgeous DSP and I decided that a double gate-fold card would be the perfect way to showcase both sides of this DSP.

To create this fold, you first start with a piece of DSP measuring 5-1/4" x 12". You then score it at 2", 4", 8", and 10". Then with a pencil, mark 2" from the top on both the left and right sides of your DSP. Cut off your first corner at a diagonal from your pencil mark on the left to your first score line (at 2"). Cut off your second corner at a diagonal from your pencil mark on the right to your last score line (at 10"). Do no throw these corner pieces away. Your project will look similar to the below image.

Accordion fold your DSP in from the left and right. Then glue your corner pieces to the front of your card so that you create a diamond shape as shown in the images.

I then added a piece of Highland Heather Cardstock to the back of the card measuring 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and a piece of Basic White Cardstock to the inside of my card measuring 3-7/8" x 5-1/8". Then it's just a matter of decorating!

I used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies for the front of the card and made sure to stamp the inside as well!

This fancy-fold is so easy yet so pretty! I'd love to see your gate-fold cards! Make sure you tag me in them when you post them to social media!

Clean & Simple Biggest Birthday Chick Wish

I LOVE a clean and simple card! I paired the Hey Birthday Chick and Biggest Wish Stamp Sets to create this adorable little birthday card!

I clean and simple card always makes me say "WOW!" 

Typically, a clean and simple card is primarily white with just pops of color. There is minimal stamping and few embellishments. They usually don't take a lot of time to create.

I made my own clean and simple DSP for this card using the little chick from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set!

Team Meeting Card Creations

On the first Friday of every month, my Team Lead hosts a team meeting via Zoom (used to be in person before COVID happened!). She always sends us instructions to create some cards together! 

These are the cards I created using the instructions/dimensions she sent! 

This is my favorite card not only because purple is my favorite color but because of the funny greeting on the front. I paired the Hand Penned Bundle/Suite with  the Lighthearted Lines stamp set to create this playful card!

I really like the color combination of this card! I paired the same Hand Penned Bundle/Suite with the Painted Labels Dies to create these different circles.

I really like the scalloped edge on this card - makes it a sort of fancy-fold card!

This was the first card I created during our Zoom meeting and it set the tone for the rest of my cards! I will be sending out a tutorial in this week's newsletter for this card so make sure you hit that subscribe button!

Kangaroo & Company Spanner Card

I was Live on Facebook this past Friday with a fun new card I've never made before ... a spanner card!

I used the cute Kangaroo & Friends Bundle and Snail Mail DSP from the January to June Mini Catalog to create this fun card.

This is definitely one of my favorite bundles and I'm going to be sad to see it go!

Measurements:

• Bermuda Bay Card Base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
• score at 4-1/4"
• cut from edge to score line on front of card, 1-1/4" from each edge
• Skinny Panels:
• 4X Basic Black cardstock 1-1/8" x 4-1/8"
• 4X Snail Mail DSP 1" x 4"
• Center Panel:
• Basic Black cardstock 2-7/8" x 4-1/8"
• Snail Mail DSP 2-3/4" x 4"
• Inside Panel:
• Basic White Cardstock 5-3/8" x 4-1/8"
• Spanner Piece:
• Window Sheet 1" x 5-1/2"

Pansy Patch Card Inspiration

This year in my garden I decided to plant some pansies! I find this one in particular sooo beautiful and I needed to recreate it using the Pansy Patch Bundle!

I decided that Gorgeous Grape was probably the closest purple to the color of this pansy so I inked up my pansy stamp, stamped off, and then stamped it onto Basic White cardstock. I used Blackberry Bliss for the center lines and Daffodil Delight for the very center.

For the stem and leaves I used Granny Apply Green and Garden Green. I think I was able to get a pretty close result with my stamped pansy! What do you think?

I used my Rectangular Stitched Dies to cut out three pieces of Pattern Party DSP. I used the black and white side so that my pansy would stand out! And layered the pansy onto a vellum circle and the DSP. 

I used Garden Green Cardstock for my card base and ran my card front through the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
