Merry Christmoose Spinner Card

The other day I created this adorable little Moose Spinner Card using a couple of pennies!  To see him in action click here!

When I first received the Merry Moose Bundle in my Stampin' Up Holiday 2019 Pre-Order I knew he'd be a perfect "tumbler" for a Christmas Card! I was also able to use the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to create his footprints in the snow!

I even added his cute little raccoon friend .... he looks a little skeptical of his clumsy moose friend! lol ;p

Magnolia Lane Paper Purse

I spent my evening yesterday creating these cute little paper handbags using the Good Morning Magnolia Suite. Each bag, minus the embellishments, takes 15 minutes or less to make!

What you need:
  • your favorite piece of designer series paper (DSP)
  • coordinating cardstock
  • a paper trimmer and scorer
  • a White Stampin' Chalk Marker
  • adhesive (Tear & Tape Adhesive works best)
  • embellishments of your choice
  • bone folder
* I've listed a more detailed list of products below for creating the white/pink paper purse.

Step By Step Instructions:
  1. Cut two pieces of DSP measuring 4" by 8".
  2. Cut the following from your coordinating cardstock:
    • 4 Accent Pieces measuring 3/4" by 8"
    • 2 Handles measuring 1" by 11" and scored down the middle lengthwise from the 1" mark to the 10" mark
    • 1 box measuring 3" by 6 1/2" and scored on all sides at the 1/2" mark
  3. Create your box by cutting one score line at each corner then folding up to create the shape of the box. Adhere using tear & tape adhesive for best results.
  4. Create your purse walls by adhering your accent pieces to your DSP.
  5. Adhere your purse walls to the box by placing tear & tape adhesive along the inside bottom of the walls. Also place tear and tape adhesive on one (or both) of your purse walls to adhere both sides together.
  6. Take your White Stampin' Chalk Marker and create stitching along all sides of your handles.
  7. Fold your handles in half along the scoreline you made earlier from the 1" mark to the 10" mark. Leave each end flat so that you can attach them to your purse. Apply your preferred adhesive to the inside of the handle to keep it permanently folded.
  8. Use your bone folder to curl your handle and then apply the flat ends to your purse walls.
You're Done!

Optional: Add your favorite embellishments to jazz up your Paper Handbag like I did below using the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp/Die Bundle and the Perennial Essence Floral Centers.

Tip: Use a sponge dauber and Petal Pink ink to color the centers of your petals before adhering them to each other and to the yellow cardstock and floral centers to get the affect seen in the above picture. You can also use your bone folder to curl you petals inward!

The finished product has lots of room for a small gift, chocolates or even a stack of cards (as you can see in the pic below)!

Happy Stamping and please share pics of your Paper Handbag creations to my Facebook page here. I'd love to see them!

Bird Ballad Fancy Fold

I created this card yesterday using the new Bird Ballad Suite found in the Stampin' Up 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. The card includes very minimum stamping but showcases the bundle eloquently.

This card involves a lot of fuzzy cutting so if that's not your jam ... this may not be the card for you. But with a little patience, you'll end up with a gorgeous card - perfect for any occasion!

The materials you need for this card can be found below in the product list. I've listed out some step by step instructions to guide you through creating your very own Bird Ballad Fancy fold.

Step 1: Cut a piece of whisper white cardstock measuring 11" by 4.25".
Score it along the long side at 5.5" and then fold using the bone folder. Then, if you were to hold the card base in front of you with the scored edge on your left, score the front of the card base only at a diagonal from the bottom left to the top right. Use the bone folder to create your fold so that your create a sort of tent with the front of the card.

Step 2: Cut two pieces of Petal Pink cardstock measuring 4" by 5.25" each. Cut one of these in half on a diagonal to match the front of your card base.

Step 3: Cut two coordinating pieces of Bird Ballad Designer Series paper, each measuring 3.75" by 5". Cut one of these pieces in half at a diagonal to match up with the petal pink cardstock that was also cut at a diagonal.

Step 4: Adhere the DSP to the petal pink cardstock using Mono Multi-glue. Then adhere the petal pink cardstock to the base of your card using tear and tape adhesive.

Step 5: Next pick out two sizes of nested stitched framelits only one size apart from your bundle. Using the larger of the two, cut out your die from petal pink cardstock. Using the smaller of the two, cut out your die from whisper white cardstock. Adhere the two dies together using either Mono Multi-glue or Snail Adhesive. Once combined, attach them to the front of your card using Mono Multi-glue, ensuring that you only place glue on the bottom right of the dies.

Step 6: Stamp three flowers using your Free as a Bird stamp set, one large and two small onto whisper white cardstock. Color them using the Petal Pink Stampin' Blends markers and make them sparkle with Wink of Stella. Then fussy cut them out using paper snips. Adhere them to the inside of your card on the bottom right corner, popping them up with dimensionals. These will act as your stopper for your fancy fold.

Step 7: Stamp your greeting on the inside of your card.

Step 8: Pick out your favorite birds from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and cut them out using your paper snips. Adhere the birds to the front of your card onto the nested label dies you adhered earlier using dimensionals. Add Wink of Stella and rhinestones to the birds.

That's it! You're all done! And you'll be left with a beautiful card! Post your creations to my Facebook page here. I want to see which birds were your favorite!
